Scarf to Replace Naty’s

Scarf to Replace Naty’s, originally uploaded by shanecrochets.

My friend Nathalie knitted me a beautiful scarf in these colors when I left Ecuador last year. Brilliant as I am, I left it in a bar earlier this year, so I’ve crocheted myself a new one so I can always remember her and her lovely gift. It was my first experience using shell stitch, which it turns out I really like.
You can see it in detail on my Flickr!

Orange Solomon’s Knot Scarf

I actually made this before the teal one which you see below, for my mama when she broke her pelvis and had to lay in bed all day. She then arranged it artfully with the globe and the flowers, and took this photo, which she called, cleverly, “Global Warming.”

I made this on an airplane, after making on orange one for my mama (a picture of which will go up soon).
